I doubt the diesel will perform much different with the fix. MB and BMW have approved diesels that run just fine. VW can and will do the same if they choose to,but I'm afraid the recall disaster will turn off the general american car buyer for diesels. I want a new TREG in the worst way,so I am still hoping for the best.

For those of you who are interested, it would appear that full reveal for new Touareg will be in next few Weeks at China Motor Show.
