$34,000.00

Check price

Milford, Connecticut

2015 Touareg TDI Sport
-55,4xxmiles - 100k full warranty
After much debate we have decided to sell our Touareg. Prior to me the car was a CPO vehicle with all maintenance done at a certified VW dealer. I’ve decided to sell since we don’t drive the Touareg due to having my work SUV. I drove the car home from MD to CT and averaged 29.7 MPG.

Car has no lights and nothing wrong. Interior is immaculate with no wear on any seats.

Interior: 9.5 out of 10
Exterior 8 out of 10
Tires- less than 2500 miles
Brakes- less than 2500 miles

Asking price is $34,000 OBO - open to reasonable offer, but will only entertain offers via phone.
203.909.5888
located in CT.

You've put on 2,000 miles? Sounds like it's got big problems or you think you're going to capitalize on the (dying) COVID inflated market

Appreciate your comment. Long story short, I was laid off and needed a vehicle. Flew down and picked this car up. 2 weeks later I got my new job, which comes with a brand new SUV where I can use car and gas for personal use. Our other vehicle is my wife’s Crosstrek, she’s not a fan of the Touareg for some reason, and will occasional drive it to work (4 miles from home.) I drive it each weekend to keep her running for a few miles here and there.
I can assure you the car still smells new and has nothing wrong. Can even provide the VW dealer who takes care of the vehicle to confirm. When I purchased, oil change and full inspection was done to ensure warranty.
I also have it as OBO, so anyone serious give me a call and we can agree on a number.

Completely reasonable response.

Yes, got offers close to asking so I know I’m in the ball park. Waiting on who will buy first. Someone committed to coming down from VT after the holidays. We will see.

Did you have an offer to make or are you just trolling?

If so, let’s discuss: Do you see another CPO for sale with my mileage and condition? Let me know the price when you do. Or do you just make these comments based on KBB? Any Treg enthusiasts knows KBB is not accurate; 7,000 sold (15’) with less than 20% being the TDI.

All other trim level Touaregs have water issues, this model does not due to no sunroof. So if a few extra features are more important than the smell of mold in your car, then yes, you’re right this is not the model for you. I bought a car to last, not rot.

My price says OBO- the ones who have the funds can make a fair offer like gentleman or ladies. This car is a dream vehicle, once I sat in it, I loved it. To find another one that still feels new is becoming impossible. Chances of finding one go down by the month.

The members on this forum amaze me. This is supposed to be a community with like minded enthusiasts. And when another member lists his vehicle for a price you may not agree on this is how you talk and act?
Admins should be ashamed for the mockery as well.

Anyways, to answer questions, when selling a rather rare car you have to test the market. I’ve had offers at $30k, and did not accept. So I listed the car higher, knowing in todays society everyone is a negotiator.
I had the car at $38k, and a gentleman offered me $34.5k. Which is In the range the car is worth between $30-$35k. This is what I see them selling for in my area (if there is one for sale,) and I think we can all agree location reflects price.
Again, this is not a car you can just go on eBay and find a 2015 TDI for sale. Not one 2015 or newer is or has been on there in a while. Especially one like this with 55k miles, warranty, and flawless interior. Same as with my 93 Corrado. People don’t say, I’m going to the dealer to look at a TDI, they say I “found” one for sale.
I see you posted about an auction site. I’ve never heard about it but again that is not a comparable avenue. Anything can happen with an auction. And only people looking for deals or a car broker watch auctions.

The gentleman who was buying the car gave me a $1,000 deposit. He was working on financing with the bank for the rest. Good news, bank approved the car loan for the vehicle for $33k/5yHe was providing the rest cash. Bad news, his wife served him divorce papers before we finalized the deal, and now he can no longer afford the vehicle.
I’ve since updated my for sale price to be in line with the offer I have received.

PS - I did not write this response as an insult but as a view for you all to consider. Usually forums are meant for good conversion and encouragement. Why would you not want to see another Touareg sell for a high amount? The caliber of the car, condition, etc are deff worth it, and It only helps your re-sale.
Making a mockery of someone’s post hindering a potential sale is not the answer, and why I justified reporting. We all have an opinion and that’s how you all came off to me.

You are looking at this completely one sided and are making too many assumptions. How would our comments hinder a sale in any way? Did you ever think that we are the ones trying to get a feel for the buyers market, therefore questioning your price?

BTW Cars and Bids is an enthusiast auction provider and sellers can set a reserve of their choosing.

It's not just crazy price your asking, it's the reporting of forum members that have have every right to comment as much as you. Very sneaky tactic that backfired on you.
What makes you think you have more rights than anyone else here?
You have single digit posts and you came here to take advantage of the free advertising and then have the audacity to report members that have been here years ,that have actually contributed to this forum while you cry foul.
Please....

😂😂 Sneaky tactic? 🤡🤡
Negative commenting without any intent of buying is post bashing. And a rule of this forum.
By saying “ your crazy price.” this is technically an opinion, a negative one, and potentially deterring someone interested in the vehicle at first glance that does not share your opinion.

If no “comparablE” T4 is for sale, how can anyone tell me the price? They are providing an opinion and a negative one at that. Again, post bashing.

I did not ask for people’s thoughts on my price. If I did, your opinions would be accepted.

As for how much time you’ve spent on this forum and # of comments; this makes a lot of sense to me now.

I actually had another member, to whom I don’t know, reach out and tell me it was wrong not to list such a car on here…no gains from doing so. Just negativity….. Good day to you.

If your vehicles are that special or unique, they will sell for what you want on ANY kind of site.... BaT, CT, C&B, craigslist, your front lawn, whatever......

Enthusiasts know what they are looking at and will pay your asking price IF it's reasonable or IF it truly reflects what you're selling. If a seller is attempting to be greedy, it won't fly with a real enthusiast who's well versed in what they are looking at.

Cars and Bids accepted it, BaT didn't. I get why BaT didn't as I know it's not really an enthusiasts car. Cars and bids wants it, they've reached out to me multiple times. But I'm not listing it at the reserve they dictate. The market is definitely changing, but I have the lowest mileage most loaded A7 Prestige that I've been able to locate online in the US. Add to that a warranty for another 2.5 yrs I do believe it's worth more than their reserve.
