I have a 2014 I’ve put 123,000 trouble free miles. How long can I expect it to last? I have an extended warranty that expires at 136,000 miles. Should I keep it or sell it. I love the car.

'14 what model do you have Mr. Single Post?

TDI? VR6?

I've got a '14 VR6 Exec getting close to 130k miles with no issues...ever. Everything I've heard says the VR6 is bullet proof. Keep up on maintenance and she'll be right as rain.

Hello and welcome to the forums.
The year of the vehicle doesn't determine how reliable it is.
How it has been maintained during those miles will.
As stated in posted #3, which engine do you have? Also, what routine maintenance/servicing has been done to the vehicle?

I have the VR6. I go to the dealer right on schedule I always get the service they recommend.

so You’ve never gotten a transmission flush? A dealer won’t do the service for you I don’t think, VW labels it a “lifetime fluid” lol. I would say a transmission flush, and likely the differentials as well.

As GolfWang said and to add, the transfer case fluid.
Also check your exhaust tips for black soot accumulation. I was having this prior to my PVC diaphragm finally tearing enough to create a whistle from the small relief hole on the side of the valve cover where the diaphragm is housed. Since changing the cover with an upgraded RKX diaphragm kit now my exhaust tips stay cleaner and only get a very light gray exhaust covering on the bottom section.
The VR6 is a robust engine and should last a while if properly maintained. Plugs/coil packs/correct oil and filter/replace any leaking parts (heater control valves) in the cooling system to avoid overheating due to low coolant.

Good to know, I know they say lifetime trans fluid. I have a 2006 Jetta TDI with 240,000 miles and never did anything with the trans on that either.
my next challenge will be finding a reputable place to do a transmission flush and change differential fluid. I’m in Central Florida.
