Correct me if i'm wrong but are you sure that FEBI is the oem supplier for vw? Ithink the original timing chain guides is IWIS brand ,or not ? For the CRCA engine ,have you removed the engine or just drop the transmission ?

You cant do it without dropping engine+gearbox and subframe.

So when i just did the timing chains a few months ago i must have been dreaming when i only removed the transmission and left the engine+subframe in place?

Ok, not "cant" but shouldn't. When you are doing timing chains, upper oil pan should be resealed again as preventive maintenance (if not leaking already).

Well, that is a pretty loose chain. It could have ended badly. After change, you will notice the difference in how smoothly the engine runs.
