Hi Guys,

My first post here...Just purchased a 2013 Touareg V6 TDI and I need to get it Serviced and one of the Glow plugs needs replacing, I am moving to US so need some help:

1. I been to Genuine OEM Volkswagen Parts Online | VW Parts Vortex, put in my VIN numbers and trying to get Part numbers which I can then match , is that a good way to making sure that I get the right parts? If not, how do I get the right OEM part numbers for this model?
2. I am getting all the parts delivered from RockAuto, is that good and reliable? Their prices etc seem to be good for well established brands
3. I am not sure if this model has Glow-plugs without pressure sensor (Bosch) or with Pressure Sensor, any ideas as to how I check? I was thinking about calling my local dealer here to find out. From my research, I think that I should be getting glow plugs with pressure sensor
4. I have downloaded all the Manuals from the link on the forum here.

I think it should have Glow Plug - Volkswagen (059-963-319-AB)

I am familiar with getting parts in UK so getting them in US in a new learning experience for me.

How do you know you need a GP?

 

If you're after part numbers 7zap is a nice place to start. They're numbers are sometimes a rev or two out of date but it'll get you started

Where did you purchase this specimen?
Is it already a US vehicle? If so, you need to check it's warranty status before anything else.
