Hi everybody.

Few days ago during driving the yellow lamp showing engine (fault in catalytic converter, per the manual) showed up together with yellow flushing coil (fault in engine management system) next to it. Since then the car accelerates very slowly and cant rev over 1900.

I took the car to the authorised VW service (I bought the car from them) and they first thought it is DPF and that they should do regeneration. When connected to their computer it showed that the DPF is 22% full and that it doesn't need regeneration and would not allow for the procedure to continue.

Now they are not sure what is the problem is. I live in Botswana and expertise of the services is not too great (nor my confidence in them).

Any idea what else might be the problem, in which direction should I ask them to look?

Before these two signs appeared I got periodically the DPF sign where I would have to drive the car constantly at speed above 40mph for 15min and indeed it would disappear. However, lately the frequency of appearing of DPF sign was increasing.

Please share any idea, would be really grateful for some guidance.
