I have a 2013 touareg tdi 130k miles. It's been leaking coolant, first I thought it was from the water pump replaced it,still leaking. Thought it might be the oil filter housing which also holds the thermostat, replaced that, still leaking. I have narrowed it down to somewhere at the top of the engine.its just really hard to see deep in there. Looks like it's going to be alot of taking apart to get to it.
Anyone deal with anything similar?

Well you're not providing a while lot of info, so it's even harder for us to suggest stuff. What's at the top of the engine that has coolant going through it? Where is the leak? Does it pool in the vee, is it a puddle under the vehicle, can you or have you traced it towards a source? Pics? Front or rear of engine? Get a cheap scope (or go to a shop with one) if you don't want to take stuff apart.

I have a slow leak in the V on my 2013 as well. I’ve been following this thread which has some good resources.

Could be many different items.

I'd suspect oil cooler plate seals... a few people have had that issue...

I'm taking in on Wednesday, they're going to look at it and let me know if it will be covered under the emissions warranty. If not I'm going to have to dig into it myself.

I found this very informative 4 part video.

There's a huge chance it's covered by warranty

To say the least, it is not a fun project. Did the work myself May 2019. Didn't really know what was leaking. but as long as I had it apart, I replaced everything in the valley.
Below is the everything that I needed. I went through VW Parts Warehouse and they were "super" helpful! The guy I dealt with was Troy Childs.

Service advisor just called, says it's the water pump ( which I already replaced). I insisted that it's coming from the top, he says it's spraying from the water pump to the top. Bullshit!
Looks like going to have to do it myself.
Thanks for the parts list jeffrey! Very helpful

I'm super concerned that your coolant is radioactive green looking...

So assuming that both of you know where the water pump is, if that's where the leak is, there would be coolant on the ground, all over the front of the engine, etc.
The water pump is also at the top of the "belt assembly", and where I'm from, stuff leaks downwards due to gravity.... so this would mean that your coolant is leaking onto the ribbed belt, hanging on for dear life as it travels around the other pulleys, and then as it comes back to the waterpump pulley, it flings off (with a spin - curve ball too - so that it can magically go against physics and take a sharp turn into the engine vee.

Oh, ok... that makes sense I guess.

I had replaced the water pump too....lol, and it still leaked. You can kind of see on the very last pic where it looks like it was leaking around the gasket. I think if I would have just replaced the gasket it would have been fine, but I wasn't taking any chances. You're welcome and if you have any questions, just message me and we can talk.
