Yes, they are beautiful in metallic silver! Originally my order was for a '22 XLT, because cruise control was unavailable for the XL. I was about to pay $2500 more for an XLT for ONE item! Since Ford was unable to produce mine as a '22, the order rolled over into a '23, which cruise control is STANDARD equipment!!! So I switched order to an XL. I literally do not like the XLT black or charcoal colored aluminum wheels any better than the steelies. I do not need at all any of the other features the XLT package has. To me, the orange accents of the XLT are gaudy. Black is just fine!Dafuq? They still sell new vehicles with steelies? Wow!
Thanks! I bright sunlight it looks blueish, but when cloudy or dusk/dawn it looks grayish.Love the color
Not fully loaded; was a Sport. I’m going from 30-32 highway on expensive diesel and upper 20s city to close to 50 MPG on much cheaper gas. From a fully loaded luxo SUV to as simple as you can get. Now that's an interesting turn. Neat color
Nearly 50?! What?!Not fully loaded; was a Sport. I’m going from 30-32 highway on expensive diesel and upper 20s city to close to 50 MPG on much cheaper gas.
It's a FWD "escape" with a partial bed and econobox drivetrain.... kinda like a Prius with 2/3 of a short bed. In the city it will probably crack into the 40s, but owners (just like the Prius ones) will exaggerate the FE just like all Touareg owners say that you never notice anything you're towing..... it's an epidemic.Nearly 50?! What?!
Indeed. The other day I went to get my haircut nearby and I got 58 MPG on the 12 mile round trip! And it isn’t even broken in yet! On a highway trip to our RV in Lake Placid, I got 41 MPG, bit that too will improve when broken in, and I install a tonneau covet on the bed.Nearly 50?! What?!

Unicorn tears!All gas??
Actually, I certainly will when one of the kids gets it far in the future and continues the savings! My youngest son still drives my 1998 Jetta TDI I got 25 years ago. He started using it around 10 years ago. I really got my money out of that purchase! It is bulletproof and a very few parts needed to be replaced. Has about 300K miles. And based on the milage of your TDI, you don't drive enough to ever see ROI![]()
How did you get 30-32 on your Treg? I have a 2012 that runs great and all i can manage is 21-22 and I am medium to easy on it. Even on the highway trips I only get 24 tops. What does everyone else know that I dont know? Not fully loaded; was a Sport. I’m going from 30-32 highway on expensive diesel and upper 20s city to close to 50 MPG on much cheaper gas.
