Looking to buy another 2012 Treg TDI. (given that I miss terribly the one I turned back)

Had an indy mechanic due a pre-purchase inspection.

Generic code scan-codes retrieved:

10062 - Fuel Pump Short Circuit
17277 - SCR NOX Cat Efficiency Below Threshold Rank 1

I was not too worried about 17277 because I assume it would be covered under the extended emissions warranty.

I was concerned about 10062. Didn't think this would be covered under the extended warranty. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Took Treg to VW dealer and answer was as follows:

"Cause - Low voltage and basic settings not set."

"Correction - Found faulty for fuel pump short circuit and nox catalyst below efficiency. All sporadic faults. Found all faults occurred below 9V and found other codes in system related to low voltage. Performed output test via gff and tests ok. Cleared faults and performed basic settings for battery and road test. Re-scan for faults and they are no longer present. Vehicle checks ok at this time."

In short, VW dealer told me faults likely came from low battery. I will update if faults return.
