things to check/try
Clean your throttle body and idle air control valve. This valve is so small but I have had it wreak havoc on so many engines. Check your vacuum line to your brake boosters. From what I understand the eggs have 2 vacuum brake booster pumps and one line is prone to cracks. Also may check your fuel purge solenoid. This solenoid gives funny issues like you mentioned when it's on its way out the door. It's responsible for closing the fuel rails when the engine isn't running to maintain fuel pressure. When the solenoid fails completely the engine will flood just by filling your tank...
