So this just started doing this maybe a month ago. Was working previously.

I updated to the latest firmware and did not solve the issue.

About to take a road trip and would love for the radio to work. It works when streaming bluetooth but not the radio.

Any help is appreciated.

OK, I read in the other thread about you having this problem and updating the firmware thinking it would help but didn't.
This may sound stupid, but are you sure it updated to the new version and correctly updated to it at that?

I proudly own a 2004 Touareg V-8 and I've noticed that the radio reception is sporadic it'll tune in and tune out various radio stations all across the dial range. Now this happens most when I plug my rf Bluetooth adapter into the lighter socket. Once I unplug from socket the radio reception seems to get stronger and tunes in radio stations somewhat clearer but nowhere near 100%. I don't know if the antenna is loose or even plugged into the back of the factory deck. Also, the auxiliary plug-in that came with the vehicle does not work with any device that I plug it into such as a cassette, cd walkman, or mp3 device player. I've checked settings reset settings and done everything that I could and still no works. I stopped in at CarToys audio store and to have them pull the factory deck out and see if all these plug-ins are connected it would cost almost $200. No thanks i'll settle for my Bluetooth adapter and stream play content off my iphone! But if anyone else has opinions or other ideas on how to make the radio and aux. plug work please let the rest of us know.

You should consider starting a separate thread rather than jump in on this one. Your fault sounds aerial related to me. Like you said trace the wires back to & from the aerial amp module.
