Cool! Thanks for the forum (and voice) updates. So you might have the first air rides ordered by sillyboy & me a week early (10/19/2009)?

 

What were the order dates on these?

 

These were my first 2 orders WITH the air ride suspension.

I do have an order that is due to arrive at the port on 09/21 that was ordered slightly after these 2, however, no air ride on this one. {hello Mr. F}

I now have 4 more orders that made the second wave of builds that I am waiting on updates for{hello Ms. P}

Chris, can you tell if anyone has a TDI coming in as just stock and what packages it would have? I want to order, but I am an impatient person when it comes to waiting. I am for sure looking for one with air and pretty much everything but the 20" wheels. They are useless offroad. If no TDI's what is still around in FSI's with air.

For those that care . . . my on again off again wife is off again so I've changed her special order from sold to available and she's going to continue driving her Volvo until the wheels fall off [her choice, not mine!].

If it moves, I'll order one in my color. If it does not, I certainly won't mind driving a cranberry one. It's a gorgeous color and maybe she'll change her mind after she drives it a few times. I'm a monotone - gray / silver type but this was supposed to be her daily driver.

2010 TDI, Cranberry, Anthracite, Lux w/19s, Tech Plus, Air, and Hitch. My deal was for $500 over invoice through Stevens VW in Wichita. You can, however, have the vehicle transferred to whatever dealership you want if you want it.

That coule be mine....I didn't get the VIN yet,...I do know that there was only 1 or 2 ordered...so...=)..I'm in Montreal,...Apparently the original order from Wolfsburg was due to arrive in Halifax N.S....it was re-routed to Montreal.

I email every day till my fingers bleed to get the pricing.

I have a feeling it is going to be the day before they release them like the Sportwagen TDI's were yesterday.

If it is any indication, the sedan TDI's went up only $364 and the Sportwagen TDI's went up only $414 at dealer invoice.

Pricing for 2010 has been available in Canada for the past month. See PDF attached. Packages are different here. All the same though as far as I know. TDI is not on this list however.

 

Thanks Chris. I'll look into the swap but I'm guessing it won't happen. FJ gave me a good deal based on some printouts from this forum w/ your quotes. I then called Autobarn to see if they would deal - they told me to go buy the car from FJ! Autobarn wanted "thousands" more than MSRP. If it wasn't for the trade-in I would have ordered from you. FJ is also the downtown MB dealer and gave me a very fair price on my G500.

 

In no hurry at all... am I understanding the 2010 model correctly to think that now the v6 tdi can be ordered with all the great features of the v10 and more - specifically the air suspension as obviously noted above and locking rear diff? The rear diff does show on the US build site.

It's amazing the newest generation Touareg, loaded, prices out at only a few thousand more than some dealers think they should get for left over 08 v10's with 20k miles due to dealer owner driving it for 2 years.

Are people finding the v6 peppy enough? Have these people driven v10's before? That thing was awesome and it is hard to imagine being happy with the smaller v6 after being so spoiled.

 

2010 does not come with locking rear diff.

 

Have I missed the dialogue on this - why is it in the build section as a clear option for $700?

 

The website is still all 2009 stuff. Very little on it is accurate.
