Looking to buy a 2009-2010 Volkswagen Touareg TDI with low miles, extended warranty, and fully optioned. Vehicle needs to be in excellent condition, well-maintained with all service records. Exterior color Campanella White or Galapagos Grey or White Gold Metallic. Interior: anything but black.

Normally these are pretty rare. Two sold last November/December and I didn't see another on the national market for at least six months.

Right now, the 190 or so people who own these are waiting for the 3.0 VW settlement...expected to be announced tomorrow. We may learn how much over Sept 2015 trade-in value we'll be getting. In my case, the settlement may be worth as much as $25-$28K.

How do you know it's 190 people?

I recall reading somewhere that 190 2009 and 2010 V6 TDis were sold in the US with air suspension.

In 2009 and 2019 VW sold about 4500 Touaregs in the US each year, and in 2010, 35% were diesels. So if 3000 T2 diesels were sold over those two years, roughly, and maybe just under 10% were ordered with air, we get to the 190 number.

At any rate, it's a small handful, and some of those may no longer be in service.

Of course, Pilot seems to be trying to collect as many as possible for his own use, so who knows!
