2007 Touareg R5 with rns510??

Hello,

I'm about to buy a Touareg R5TDI facelift with the older MFD2 GPS. But i actually want the newer RNS510 because of the hard drive.
Is it possible to retrofit the RNS510 without canbus and steering wheel problems?

Second question: How looks the compass/offroad menu in the RNS510? Does anyone have a picture of the screen?

Nobody? I would like to know it because Saturday I'm going to look for a nice 2007 Touareg ;-)

Does the engine really matter? I think there's no difference between a V6TDI or a R5TDI for a RNS510.

The 2007 model was the change over from CANBUS 1 to CANBUS 2 so there may be some problems with power drain fitting the RNS510, there are aftermarket gateways available or via VW.
You may need to check this out with a dealer using your new VIN.
