2005 vw touareg

condition: fair
cylinders: 6 cylinders
drive: rwd
fuel: gas
odometer: 2000000
paint color: grey
size: mid-size
title status: clean
transmission: automatic
type: SUV

Mechanics dream this car needs some TLC from the right person. Car runs strong engine and transmission are sound, air ride suspension is perfect the truck has a fuel problem EPC light keeps coming on and off. The electric part of the odometer has gone dim. It runs tags are current has never failed smog but with this fuel issue it will not pass. truck is being sold as is it would be perfect for someone who can use it for spare parts since these parts are super expensive. Body is straight it's never been in any major accidents paint has some pitting at the hood from age. Clean title in hand lets make a deal

Is that supposed to be 2 million or 2 hundred thousand miles or kilometers on it?

What country is this? Regardless, those are impressive numbers.

She’s sitting at 235k miles and it’s in Southern California still running super solid but I’m tired of dealing with the vacuum issues

So far, this sounds like a good car for someone who wants to do some fix it up projects.

The solution to the vacuum issues is replacement of all the vacuum lines. They all fail at this age. It is not too bad for a DIY project.

If it is the center display that is dim, that is usually a easy and not too expensive fix. As long as you or someone you know can solder parts on a circuit board. Another DIY project.

As for the last EPC light, If you had a VCDS scan we could give you a good idea of what it might be.

Ahhh at last a V6 3.2 Treg. I have the same model but 2004. I'm not buying it ( too far away :)) but I would like you to do some tests for me if you still have and if you don't mind losing 10 minutes of your time.
I can help with the vacuum issues as I fixed mine a few months ago. I still have the fuel issue though. I guess you're taking about the rich mixture error showing with a MIL on warning.
