Ok, i put this in the wrong discusion tread, so i will try again in the right place. Heres the deal, i bought this beautiful 2005 Touareg, it has navigaition, radio 6 cd changer etc. I was messing around, looking at options, not sure where i was or on what menu, (and i wasnt listening to the radio when i was doing this, so i dont know when i lost volume) but when i was done "messing with all the buttons, low and behold, all aduio is gone. No radio sound, no cd sound, just dead silence.... hears what i tried so far, pulling out the fuses for the radio and nav (#11, 12 and 24 i think) and put back in, no good. I am not sure, but what should the settings be on the "AUX" button . Thanks for any guidence or if anyone has had this issue.

I got it fixed, it was the AMP and $700 later its working great!!

just bought an 05 and i have this problem as well. i noticed if i started the car and the volume was high from the prior time i was in the car i would get no sound from any source. all i had to do was turn sound down and restart car and sound would come back on and be fine. no idea why. glad to hear its the amp as i am about to bypass it when i put in a new system next week
