I recently ordered the 3.0 tdi and have upgraded to 20 inch rims. Having subsequently seen Jeremy Clarkson's review on topgear online of the V10, I wonder whether upgrading to bigger wheels is such a good idea. If anyone out there has any experience of this, please let me know. PS I am unlikely to do any serious off-roading.

I use 20" AT Italia Pressa wheels for 3 seasons on my V10. I don't go offroad to any extent. I saw his report and have driven my V10 for over 8000 miles. I don't know what Jeremy Clarkson was talking about??? Maybe VW refused to pay him off.

Larger diameter wheels will always decrease the ride comfort, it's the nature of the physics involved. There is less air cushion for the tire to ride on, so the ride is going to be harsher. To what extent that matters to any particular individual is up to them.
