All Im after some help and advice.....

Its a long story but here go's -

I have owned my touareg for 2yrs, its a 2004 2.5 TDI.

I have a judder that only appears when the car is under a light acceleration load, the car went to the main dealer that said it was the rear prop, they wanted £1000 so took it to firow and had them fix it, the judder under accerleration is still there.

In the past six months the car occasionaly goes into overboost condition and limp mode activates till the engine turned off/reset.

VW specialist changed turbo sensor but readings are still too high so have told me I need a new turbo (the toureg has been remapped, could the remap cause this issue...), same place also said judder could be the flywheel

The car has been at the main dealers, a vw specialist (not toureg tho) and my local garage to see what is causing the judder and non seem, to understand the treg....

The car has only done 65k, been well serviced from new and cost me £13000, if it cant be fixed I will have to sell as no one seems to be able to fix it#

any help much appreciated and could include free beer!!!!

Judder? Where from comes that? Under the centre arm rest? Or from back tires? Is it a manual or automatic?

Who remapped it and when?

Was the judder there before the remap or not?

If not, how long after the remap did it appear?

If you use Tiptronic to control all the gear changes, does judder persist?

And what about if the gearbox is in sport mode? Is it any different then?

Are all of your tyres identical make, model, tread pattern, size and wear depth within 2mm?

The guy never came back so I doubt you'll get a reply.

Vagcom scan and compression test should narrow it down.

Thanks for updating us.

Do you know which sensors were changed?

Have you also tried posting on the UK site too to give your problem wider exposure where there are more R5s?

I have had a slight judder from the engine side when accellerating - faulty injector - replaced it and the judder problem is gone and it pulls like a train..

I do however have an overboost issue that the dealer cannot solve as everything tests 100% using the diagnostics, but as a complete system there is something wrong and it goes to limp mode.

You used to be able to go into Group 11 or Group 13, I can't remember which, on VCDS, and it would cycle the VNT's vanes full range, back and forth for you, to test for full cycle range, while the motor sat at idle. Then you could test it manually, activate it by hand on a cold motor/cold turbo, to check the range. If it cycled fine manually, then you tested your N75 valve for vacuum or pressure, depending on the year/model TDI you had.
