Onward to 150,000 miles! Just did the 100K service on my 2013 TDI at 100,005 miles. This is only the second vehicle I have owned where I have seen that mileage reached. Hoping to get past 200,000 without anything MAJOR along the way failing. I expect the DPF and turbo to be two things that will someday fail.
I have only done two oil changes myself so far at 90K and this one at 100K, and I really hate that both the plastic dust shields have to be removed from the under body, plus, the oil drain plug when removed causes oil to just tough a cross member under the engine, and the distance to the oil catch pan, causes considerable splash over the sides. I had a lot of work to clean the garage floor as best I could with degreaser.
Both the oil filter and fuel filter changes are very easy. After wiping out the fuel filter canister, I filled it almost to the top with DieselKleen before starting the engine. It took a few seconds longer than usual and threw a glow plug MIL lamp on the dash. After idling for a couple minutes, I shut down and restated, no problems, MIL light gone.
Tire rotations are easy. Only takes 30 minutes now. 2 jacks on one side, front to rear swap.
All this while nursing a partially torn Achilles wearing a brace splint boot, and a damaged muscle under my shoulder blade, preventing me from turning to the right while on my back, LOL, it sucked.
