noticed the other day while performing some routine maintenance oil on the valve covers on my v10

this oil has been weeping from the larger of the two rubber hoses where it connects to the pcv itself

on the v10 the ccv/pcv hoses are just sealed and held in place by the barb/ridges on the pcv housing

many other vw's ccv/pcv valves hoses utilize band clamps to seal and secure the hoses

is it possible that barbs a bad design in this application and now after 150k miles the seal is no longer sufficient??

anyone else been down this road??

the ccv/pcv's themselves are aok and the hoses are free and clear of any holes or splits

i'm thinking of just grinding the barbs and using some hose clamps
