BAD NEWS:

You cannot place a CD Nav system in an 04 Treg with standard stereo!

The CD Nav uses a unique digital amplifier for the rear speakers, so installation of the CD based system would require the replacement of your analog amps with digital models for $$$.


GOOD NEWS:

A VW DVD Nav system is a plug in :joy:

Just want to correct the above statement regarding CD Nav not being able to be installed without changing amps. This is not the case as the CD Nav can easily be softcoded to use its high level outputs and works exactly as the DVD Nav. So you have choices...both systems are plug and play. In fact, there are many more individuals who have upgraded from their standard stereo to the CD Nav than those that have upgraded to the DVD Nav. However, I prefer the DVD Nav so would go that route if I had to do such.
