Hey guys, I asked weeks ago on a couple threads re: clusters with no reply. Tried searching and it seems like this may be possible, but nothing certain, atleast nothing I could fine. I have the red monochrome cluster and I want to install the color screen cluster, here is one from eBay, I would like to buy it but only if it will work. Anyone know? Thanks!

Yes, it will work. If I remember correctly, VAGCOM is needed for various things such as oil temp, mileage, and what not. But damn, that is pricey! I would have never wondered it was $1,000 for a instrument cluster! Definitely make a good offer and see how low they will go, it's a refurb so they should definitely take a good offer. I'd wait for a good used one, they go as low as $100.
