Just picked up a left over - Brand New 2013 TDI from our local dealer. Have never had a Volkswagen before, but very impressed with this vehicle in comparison to others we tested. Our dog is looking forward to his new ride!

Actually, he is a Silver Lab with Tan Points. Not something you will see very often. His mother & father were actually DNA tested and he is registered. About 90% of people think he is a Weim because of his color, but his body structure very different.

We also test drove a new Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel before deciding on the VW. The Jeep's engine had really nice power output, but created more noise at idle and cruise. The ride was also not nearly as good. Lastly, there were so many electrical items and settings that it seemed there is a higher probability that things could go wrong. Really looking forward to the improved mpg of this vehicle over our last one.

My aunt has a 2012, she got pet hammock for the back seat. Her dogs love it because they don't go flying all over the place when she hits the brakes.

Yes, the pet hammock's can be great. I have a couple of them that I got from Duluth Trading made out of their fire hose material that have been used in other vehicles. However, we find that we will usually put our Lab in the very back because it's easier for him to just jump right in. He loves to lay down when the vehicle is moving and it gives him more room to lay flat. Thanks you for sharing this with me tharlan505. Sharing ideas and suggestions is what makes sites like this so great!
