Chime in-how many miles did you get out of your original tires on your T3?

When the time came to replace them, did you choose Goodyears, Michelin, Pirelli or another brand?

Less than 20K on OEM Pirelli Scorpions. Absolutely abysmal tires after 10K. Noise was almost unbearable.

35K on Toyo Versado's. No issues at all. I don't quite think that we'll make it another 10K, but I don't think that getting 5K more out of them will be out of the question. These tires are just starting to make noise, and only at certain speeds, like 35-40MPH. Other than that, they are perfectly quiet...

22k on Goodyears. I usually like the Eagle LS2 but not on my T3. I replaced with Conti DWS. Have just over 20k. Been very good and I likely will get another set before next winter. Should have about 30k on them by then.

Had Goodyear Eagle LS2 as OEM. I got about 25K out of them for summer use. (I switch out to a winter set.) The LS-2 still had about 4/32 tread, but I scrapped them for a new set of summer skins this year. Went with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta this time.

30k on OEM scorpions (and probably could've gone 5k-8k more due to spring weather, but why risk it). Replaced with bfgoodrich at ko's. Happy so far with my choice.

For what it's worth, when I changed tires I had an alignment done & road force. No wheel shake. Had very very light shake before at 70-75mph. Not enough to even mention, but now smooth sailing.

I’ve replaced OEM GY Eagle LS2 at 25K miles before last winter with slightly below 5/32” tread left on them. They were worn very evenly and were quiet nice tires but with very average winter driving qualities. New tires are Michelin Latitude Tour HP. They are equal to the GY Eagle LS2 in every way – both good and bad.

Haven't worn out the OE Pirelli Scorpions yet (just about 12,000 miles now), but when they are done, I will be getting a set of Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred CS .

I had over 45K miles on my first Goodyear Triple Treds set on my previous vehicle (Installed in 2004), and also put on another set when the time came (Spring 2012). They were good handling wet or dry, pretty good in snow, and were quiet enough for me.

have 27k-miles on my oem goodyear ls2's and still 4mm's left, with "spirited" driving... I actully think that these tires are a good choice for my 2012 tdi lux and would consider them again, even as on most of my previous cars(bmw's, alfa's, jeep) I liked bridgestones. a friend of mine is a tire dealer in europe and he prefers michelin's as they are the easiest to balance and have the longest tread-life, but he also agrees that they are not too good in the wet... I guess we all need to make our own choices... good luck!!!

I am on my third set of tires at 40K miles. Will never put p. Scorpions on my car again. Made the mistake once. Great when new but to soft for a 5K pound vehicle and aggressive driving. Got no more than 17k miles on the Oem, and even less on the second set. The michelins seem to be holding up well in all weather. The scorpions were crap in the winter especially after worn.

30,700 miles on Scorpions

I just replaced the OEM Scorpions at 30,700 miles (WAY noisy and pretty much worn out). After some internet investigation I bought Toyo Versados which after only a few miles seem OK. The Scorpions were going to be too expensive. I quoted Toolman above because there are few choices in the OEM size, 265/50R19, and the Goodyear is not one of them.

For the most part I liked the Scorpions. Very good in snow, fine in all other conditions but they became very noisy toward the end, probably as a result of slight misalignment. My idiot salesman drove this car 200+ highway miles from anther dealer for the model/color that we wanted, but still delivered it to us with steering wheel shake. Fortunately, one RF balance cured that!

Wow! I must drive like a beast. My scorpions would have been belts after 30K miles. I did replace the second set a little early but they still wore quickly. Far as handling were grippy, was not happy with hill climbing performance in snow. I have two ways to my house, both uphill one a 20 degree slope the other about 36. In the winter before they plow like to go up the steeper slope. It was sometimes a challenge. Never had a problem with my my current tires. Course could be my driving!

Just put Pirelli Verdes (N0) on. The tire guy said they have had very good success with them on the Cayennes and most definitely will last longer than the 17k on the oem Conti. The oem tires were fine just didn't last long.
