TPMS Removal DIY!!

Went through this process 5 times

...the MFI warning (and beep) is gone, but I still have the TMPS idiot light on in the speedometer cluster. Cleared codes controller 19 multiple times. What controls this error light?

Same problem as mine,05 touareg. Tried every steps I can try. Fuse, coding, unplug...

Tough luck, most good mechanic can disconnect the warning light unless you want to pay for changing the TPM inside the tires.

As far as the fuse is concerned, there is very good chance that the designations in the manual and the fuse diagram cards inserted on the fuse lid are inaccurate for your vehicle. Try pulling out one by one and see if it makes a difference.

Juan you need to recode 19 with TPMS fuse removed. Just recode using the same code, witch if I remember correctly is 06.

I did this a long time ago, but if I recall correctly, the steps are:
1) Find the correct fuse and remove it and throw it away (the TPMS light will appear instantly in the MFI)
2) Recode the module
3) The TPMS light will go off and you are free.

When I did this, I remember reading from other members to disconnect the module, but it seemed too complicated at the time. The fuse removal work just fine.
I believe you probably removed the wrong fuse.
If you can, try to upload a picture of your driver side fuse box and the fuse card, so we can try to help you.

Darn. Did all that, re-coded with fuse pulled, and re-coded with the module completely removed. Controller 19 to 00006. In all cases, the MFI beeeeep is gone, but the idiot light stays on. I think I stumped the Club!

In this case I would try putting everything back together, and recode to see if you can have the system back up and running. Then I would try only taking the fuse off then recoding.

wher is the correct position of the tpms control modul under the dash, I can't find it many thanks

It is mounted under the dash, driver's side, below the A pillar. At least it was in my '04. I had to take it out to get the cable disconnected. Then I put it back in case the next owner wanted to be annoyed by it.

I thought I share with my findings. Just installed on Touareg tdi 2014 my 18 inch winters without TPMS, went for a drive with in 2 min I get this massage: TPMS deactivated, no faults no massages after that.
