+1 for the 22 club. Look easy to clean too...

Personally I would have gone for a little more rubber.......

That WILL be a harsh ride !

:evil_laugh:

Hopefully those rims are strong riding on that small amount of sidewall. If not, kiss your rim goodbye upon your first road divot or pothole.

You're pretty brave using the widowmaker to lift the car. My advice to you is to buy proper jackstands and a jack.

Rims look good. I think when i do mine I'll go all black rims (but it's just a taste thing & I think they look sharp on your car) but waiting till after wedding next month.. and maybe a new tat.. and new motorcycle... Someday I'll get new rims.

On another note, I had issues with 18"s on my GTI: if I hit a big pothole (Ohio roads are awful) I would cause a bubble on the sidewall of tire. I replaced 3 dunlaps and the replaced the rims with 17" OZ rims (bigger sidewall= no issues in 60k miles since)

As far as rims bending/busting one of my four bent but has not been an issue.. Minor bend noticed by tech has not been issue in past 40k mi. Hope that info helps put you at ease a bit.

Looking sharp man (& yes go to harbor freight and buy proper jack/stands, theyre not too $ and its worth it to not worry IMO)

Sold my 18" charlestons... I wouldn't wish the headache those wheels gave me on anyone (in the form of 3 new $250 a piece Dunlop's).
Much happier with a little more sidewall, however the kumhos ecstas i have are great on milage they're a bit of a rough ride compared to lops.

lol you can have my old wheels for 3k shipped
3dayfedex.. :)

It rides like stock no change no power loss, they weigh the same as the stock 20"
As for pot holes i know how to drive and avoid them, i know my city very well.
Years of driving i know all the dips bad pot holes so im good in that department
i dont drive my T that much maybe 75 a week.

picture is with iphone dont have a nice digtal camera
gonna add a spacer in the rear 7mm,there tucking compared to the front are pokeing out a bit.
No biggie just now i spend more cash on lugs.

i recommend 43offset for the front and 30-33 rear
with the 7mm im gonna be at 37mm i dont want add more that on 10.5 wheel im sure the hub is stressed as is.
