This is my wife's vehicle and she doesn't like it so it must go. If I can't get a taker in the next week it's probably going to Carmax. They offered me 37k for it so I'd probably take 38k from a private sale. There are some pics in my craigslist ad. Let me know if you have any questions or would like more pics.

Thanks, it's a great vehicle but she wants an Acura RDX. I'd like to try a Q5 but alas, that's probably not happening either :-(

I was pleasantly surprised by the Carmax offer as well. That was after a couple local dealers gave us very low ball offers. I'm guessing Carmax would list my vehicle at around 39-40k.

The key is if the premium CarMax is giving you is greater than the sales tax savings you get when trading in for the Acura. Often, its a wash.

The cheapest T3 TDI listed nation wide on Carmax is a 2012 Sport with 8k miles for $44k.

Vettev, Where were you 5 weeks ago when I was looking? I didn't want to spend over 40K, but the wife fell in love with a used 2012 Exec and I had to pony up (well, I liked it too). I'd have bought yours if it was available back then. I bet you sell it on your own.

Got $46,500 in it including a second set of winter snow & ice rims/tires as the OEM Good Year LS2s are terrible in the snow. It has 21,500 miles on it. Super nice condition. looks and drives like new. As mentioned, I didn't want to spend over 40K but this seemed like a good deal and we were sick of looking. The dealer had a terrible sales month in Feb and negotiated on the price enough to make me sign.

I'm asking 39,500, Carmax offered 37,000. I could split the difference.
