Black, Touareg lettering. Coming to Oklahoma. Thanks. You might check on why you are charging tax unless you are in Oklahoma it is unnecessary.

I'm in CT, not Oklahoma....
Right I am questioning why this seller is automatically collecting state sales tax from me since I am assuming he is not a business owner in Oklahoma. If not they he is extorting from me the 7% sales tax he charged me in the paypal transaction as he need not pay sales tax on out of state sales. Not a big deal ($2) but I don't like paying extra not matter how small the extra.

I think extorting is over-stating it a bit. He probably just set up the payment account wrong... I'm not that worried about it, as long as I get the product I've paid for.

Seller: PayPal has excellent support for these sort of things. Give them a shout & they can help you fix the issue. They can also help you with the button you were asking about.

Finally, you may want to touch base with the moderators of this board before they nab you for selling a product without advertiser status. Just a thought... :)

Hi

I own a 2005 Touareg and I love the car. But two things have bothered me with the interiors design since day 1.
The first and bigger was the shallow cupholder that have spilled many a coffee. I finally got so tired of this that I designed my own mod that clips into the existing cupholder and extends the height 1.25" which solved all the spilling issues. Additionally, the mod looks sharp and can me embossed with any lettering. The two pictured in this post both say Touareg. This worked so well in fact that I wanted to offer them to this forum at a very reasonable cost of 30 bucks which a choice of color, and lettering. Please contact me if your interested in this.

The second thing that has bothered me was that it was very hard to find a secure and accessible place to mount a satellite radio receiver or aftermarket gps. I have addressed this issue in the way as the cupholder and designed a mounts that securely fits into the change holder located under then temp control knob. This mount is currently configured to handle a xm received but can be easily modified to handle any type of radio or GPS. This also has worked so well that I wanted to offer them to this forum at a very reasonable cost of 30 bucks which a choice of color. i may ask for a few more bucks if you wanted me to design a custom deal but im really cheap. Please contact me if your interested in this

Have fun Tregging

I'd like one too, only question will armrest still slide forward with cup holder installed
Hi
First i want to thank you. I never knew the armrest slid forwards until you asked and i tried to slide it forwards. The good news is although i did not design the thing with this in mind i did get really lucky as there is about 2mm of clearance and the armrest moves freely over it.

Hi
Im not sure how to address the tax question. I have not sold anything on the net prior to this experience. So i asked my wife, who is in financial analyst was instructed to charge tax. Im now not cetian she was correct, and apoligize. I also had no idea so many people would be interested in this thing!
That now said, and since i am obviously neither a paypal master nor interstate tax expert I'm currently working on setting this cupholder design up with a 3d print house who will do all the online charging, printing and shipping. Which I hope will clear all this up. So if anyone is concerned about the tax issue please wait another few days and i will post a like to the new site for this cupholder, and a few other similar designs.

Boy do I feel like a dumb ass I've owned my truck for almost five years and 60,000 miles driven and I never knew the armrest slid forward. And yes the extension he has made fits perfectly underneath. HOW BIZARRE...

Don't feel bad, I have known about mine the whole time, but never use that feature because it isn't comfortable anyway. :)

Looking forward to getting my cupholder in the mail.

Got mine yesterday. Will try to install it tomorrow. (4 pieces of double sided tape... Should take me about 4 hours)

Anyone try to sand/polish theirs down? I wouldn't mind a smoother look and feel. I'll see how it looks tomorrow.

Got mine on Saturday, just hadn't checked the mail when I posted.

I am going to sand mine down smooth and try wrapping it in the 3m vinyl I just got to wrap the wood on my dash, doors, and console.

Mini Review...

First, I love this thing! I am still getting used to not grabbing my water bottle every time I take a corner. Despite anything I say below, I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Now for the nitty...
- The arm rest still slides forward, but only after the double sided tape has had time to settle and compress.
-The interior walls do not line up exactly with the existing cup holder. The driver side is not bad, but the passenger side is much narrower than than the cup holder. This being said, from a design stand point, I don't know how to do it differently. The passenger side cup holder inside walls are flush to the sides of the well. There would be no way to make this extension without making it smaller. So this is just a note and not a criticism until someone can think of a better way.
-The surface is as jagged as it appears in the pictures. I've thought about trying to sand it down and smooth it out (primarily for cleaning purposes) but I have not tackled that job yet and may not ever.
-Wife approved!
