I think a missed a couple. The Mustang wasn't the type of car I usually buy, but a found it in the local paper when a tow company had to put an add in the paper for the owner to come and reclaim it and pay tow and storage fees or it would be sold, which he never did. So I went and offered 50% black book and was shocked I got it. Did fluid changes serviced brakes detailed and let my wife drive it for 2 months and sold it at a 40% markup. The only good experience I ever had with a Ford.

1981 Ford cortina wagon, swapped the 2L 4cyl for 4.1L 6cyl.
1971 VG Valiant (Dodge) ute, Swapped the 215ci 6Cyl for a 245ci hemi and added 4 speed and LSD, also full bare metal respray and air con.
1985 Forerunner, added turbo.
1987 Mitsubighi Magna wagon 2.6L Manual.
1996 Mitsubishi Magna wagon V6 auto.
2001 Toyota Prado 3.0 Turbo diesel, winch, snorkel, 2" lift..rolled by wife!
2000 Toyota prado 3.0 turbo diesel
1996 Ford corsair (Nissan Pintara) 2.0 auto.
Still owned...
2001 Subaru Outback 2.5 auto.
1985 Hilux dual cab 4x4, added turbo.
2004 VW Touareg V10 tdi...Great car..almost as good as the Valiant was!!! (wish I still had the ute!)
I have never owned a new car...all were used, I did buy a new Yamaha Raptor 350 in 2010...

Wow, well this does say drive, but I will include my bikes.

Side note to OP (if they are even still here): I think your '81 Bonnie had the same crap diesel as my parent's 1980 Chevy Impala diesel. I hope you had better luck with yours that we did with ours.

I will skip my wife's cars the ones my parents let me drive and stick to the ones I actually owned.

From the beginning ...

65 MGB gone in 24 days. My mom was scared I was going to kill myself in it from the moment I got it. I survived it didn't.

75 Dodge Dart. Everyone should own a $50 car at least once.

72 Pontiac Grand Prix Model SJ. Loved that car.

68 Pontiac LeMans convertible. 4 speed car. Got real good at replacing clutches. Rebuilt engine, front suspension, brakes.

81 Audi 5000. Got it as a winter car so the LeMans could be garaged.

83 VW Jetta. Great car

94 Pontiac Bonneville

00 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. Caught on fire in my driveway in Feb 04. I wasn't looking or even thinking about a new car yet. But I had seen a commercial for a new VW and I wanted to check it out...

04 VW Touareg V6 with Nav. Absolutely loved it!

08 Land Rover LR2. Always wanted a Land Rover ever since I was a little kid. It was one of my favorite Matchbox cars... it took me everywhere I wanted to go in my imagination. Liked it but it wasn't my Touareg.

Brings me to current...

10 VW Touareg V6 Nav with Dynaudio. I'm happy again???
