Sharino, what was the model of Focal speakers you used? The next step on my audio build is to replace the factory speakers and add in a 4-channel amp. Thanks

This is what I am thinking about buying for a system...let me know what you guys think.....

Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT - Nav unti
Alpine PDX-5 - Amp
JL Audio VR650-CSi - front components
JL Audio 8W3v3-4 - rears or I might buy 2 sets of the above...
JL Audio 10W3v3-2 - sub....

Figured I'd show a few pics of my '05. Head is the DNX9980HD with steering wheel control, snugly under the front passenger seat is the HD900/5, fiberglass enclosure houses a 12W6v2-D4, the doors got 2 sets of XR650-CSi's, bi-xenons have 8K's, along with 8K xenon fogs, exhaust lost the secondary cats and suitcase, and picked up Dynomax VT's, Atheo 19's got some paint along with the flares, Brembo's and cross drilled/gas slots all around. I'd love to do a custom remap, and do some Vag tricks, but just haven't had access to a Vag, and not so sure of a noticeable gain would result from a remapping.

So i just routed some cables... thanks a bunch so far to those that have gave me advice. I could not figure out the b pillar or cable channel though i was able to peek at it. lift some flap of carpet under the seat. i fished 2 power cables under the carpet to the rear seat where i will mount the amp. I am just going to run the RCA and 12V P control wire for the amp under the floor mat and it slips under the seat I dont think it will be an issue.

I took a couple pics. my arm is sore from squeezing it into tight places !

Funny old world - I'd happily buy a car with no radio! I prefer silence!!

Great ideas in this thread.. since that alpine MRP-M500 fits under the seat that is what I will most likely go with. Did someone local to you build that custom sub enclosure?
I had help building the enclosure with a great buddy of mine that earns a paycheck as a JL Audio Rep. The project wasn't all that difficult though. Having to R&R the rear bumper and drill through the steel support for the flush mount IR back-up camera is a project I wouldn't say the same about.

On a ’06 V8 with the “Sound System 1” my basic options are:

1) RNS 510 US + Canshack + Sat + BT
2) Aftermarket system

Problem with #1 is that a US RNS 510 is hard to find and the total cost would be about $3000. There might be a couple of issues such as the rear view camera and recoding the car?

Problem with #2 is that you need to rewire the car entirely; you may keep the wheel controls but will lose the MFD. You also need a new rear camera.

Am I right?

Mines done, thanks to Audio Lab in Laguna Hills, Ca
Waaay over what I originally expected to spend.
Was going to drop only 3k but it turned into over $6300
Alpine INA W910 head unit
Alpine SPX PRO 6.5 separates in front and back doors
2x Alpine 12" SWR T12 thin subwoofers
Hertz HDP1 mono amp
Hertz HDP4 4 channel amp
Originally I wanted to hide the sub in the back panel but I wanted to hear and feel every note from "Hotel California's" guitar to the bass from Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow".
Am I happy, hells yes, money well spent. Crisp Clear and amazing clarity.
