Our Treg came with the Monster Mats and the rear CarGo containment system. It does work, and if nothing else, it keeps the smaller cargo from moving around when you stack the blocks against.

However, the darn thing tends to "creep" to the back all the time, and then it gets wadded up in the area around the latch, to the point, that eventually the rear hatch won't close, because the mat has moved to the back so far.

Is there something that others have done to keep this thing from moving back?

Here's a picture, and in the middle, by the latch, you can see that the area is all buckled up there. I took this picture after it had been moved a back about an 1", and the door wasn't closing, again...

Hook part of velcro attached to the mat so it is connected to the carpet underneith is the only option I can think of. Beyond that get a different cargo mat. I like the Cayenne one I have in my 10 since it does not have this issue. :)

I thought about the hook part of the velcro, and that would probably do the trick.

What keeps the Cayenne one from moving? Is that much heavier? more durable?

This thing is rubber backed, so I would think that it's somewhat "sticky" and wouldn't move around, but it does.

Come to think of it, maybe it's only moving when my wife is driving. I can always tell when she's been driving because the fuel economy is WAY down...

My Cayenne one is a plastic tray and is molded. So it will not fold up like your carpet cargo mat. I don't know if they make one for the 11. You would have to go to a Porsche dealer and find out. I had to alter mine a little bit due to the raised floor in the TDI on the 09-10.

I saw that on the Porsche site. Does that interfere with putting the seats down, or allowing you to slide something larger in there? It looks like it would only allow you to go to the back of the seats.

That might really be a problem in the 2011s, though, since the rear seats move forward and back.

On VW's site, they also say that some of the cargo liners don't work on TDI models. Surely my dealer didn't throw that in there, and it's not supposed to be in there, did they? Naaaaa...

Mine doesn't slide around at all, except when I'm trying to pull the blocks away from the mat. Then I often have to reposition it. Did you (or your wife) ScotchGard or shampoo the rear carpet by any chance? ScotchGard is definitely, ans sometimes shampoo residue leaves carpeting slippery too.

I have the same mat in mine and I have noticed this as well. Not quite to the extent of yours but it does move some. Quick note; don't let your wife try to re-position it when her Mixed Berry Smoothie is sitting on it. Although to it's credit it did clean up amazingly well at the car wash. And it dried quite quickly. I will have to get some of that velcro and give it a try. Question for Yeti; How did you attach the velcro to the mat??Did you use glue or have it sewn on??

The Velcro was a suggestion. I don't need it for my mat, but I don't have an 11 either.

Does not interfere at all with putting the seats down in my 10. Can't imagine it would in your 11 either. It does only go to the back of the seats. It is just a plastic tray which will allow cut outs for the built in tie downs if you need to use them. Not sure if the 11's have those or not. I got it mainly for winter use when carrying wet ski boots and clothing. Contains that mess really well.

That's the thing, though, the seats can move forward and backward in the 11, so it might not be against the back of the seats, or would have to be designed to fit when the seats are at the furtherest back point.

Yeah, it looks like it would work GREAT for that...

WE haven't put any of that on, but who knows what they did at the dealer. The dealer didn't mention that they added anything to the carpet, but you never know...

Follow-up (hopefully it's fixed)...

Last nite while fueling the Treg, I had to slide the mat forward, again.

But, I noticed while sliding it forward, that it seems to move very easily, which explains why it's sliding back.

Then, I noticed that sides of the mat were slightly rolled up onto the sides of the interior, like the mat is WIDER than the interior of the vehicle.

Upon further investigation I noticed that there's a little undercut "lip at the bottom of the sides, where the sides meet the floor. I shoved the part of the mat that was rolled up along the sides down into the undercut lip, and this really tightened up the mat.

Hopefully, this cures the moving around problem. Time will tell...

That may explain why I don't experience this issue. Whereas a lack of installation instructions was a little disappointing, I guess I instinctively figured out the side lip thing straight away. That's perhaps why mine doesn't move rearward as described by you and other contributors.

I obviously didn't notice the lip right away, but I did notice that the bottom was rubber, and I figured that would hold it in place.

Guess not...

My 11 has the same problem and it drives me crazy. I'm going to try the Velcro, hopefully that will work. If not I might take it out and get the LL Bean mat for it. I got my mother one and it fit great and will hold spills, etc
Did you see my post about wedging it under the slight lip on the sides? That has made mine stick a lot better...
