Hi Everyone.
My dealer (Ourisman VW, in Laurel, MD) is telling me that my recent (Apr 11) attempt at ordering a TDI Exec may be problematic as VW is apparently (they say) not presently producing any Execs. In fact their words from today's reply to my latest e-mail were:
"...We did put your order in the system; now its up to VW if it will get built. At this time no Touareg Execs are being built so all we can do is wait and see"
and followed-up with "...VW is having supply issues on the Touareg Exec, so thats why we are not sure when or if VW will build it. It may be built as a 2012".
Is this genuine, or am I being blown smoke for some reason? If this is gen, it seems a potentially huge problem for VW; does anyone know any detail on what their issues are? Thanks in advance for anyone who can help throw some light on this for me.
