hi Everyone,

with the soaring prices of gas and no respite in sight i was looking into the option of a smaller car especially for small trips in and around the city. does anyone have any input on the mini cooper? i would be looking into a 2007 cooper s any feed back or performance review etc would be greatly appreciated.

Brill little car - but take one for a good run - the suspension can be far too firm for some people [your dentist will be pleased to pop your fillings back in!] and the seat squab isn't very long so not enough support under the thighs.

driven a first gen supercharged S and the second gen turbo S and prefer the feel and pull of the first gen one. Also driven both in anger at an autoX course and the the first gen felt more ballanced and had more of the wahoo hoon factor.

Purchased an 03 Mini Cooper S a few weeks ago. It's a fun car, great gas mileage. I drove a newer Turbo model as well but prefer the Supercharged model. The whine it makes is addictive.

I got one in 1975 - I can't believe I ever drove the thing with my butt so close to the road! On rails in corners and a lovely little screamer - SU carbs, er, not so joyful compared to injection. I'd prefer to die in a Treg all the same!
