Hello everyone! After some time I am back here again needing advice on an issue that has been going on for about an half year without solution.

Everything has started with a check engine light issue that could not have been solved. Finally after I got the LPG autogas system removed the mechanics were able to fix it as they blamed all on the LPG. It required new O2 sensors, coil packs and just in case I had my injectors cleaned. The problem is however that when the engine is warm, the car cranks when started up but takes time to fire up - there is a noticable fuel smell around the car when this occurs. Cold starts no problem. Hot starts no problem.
Also, my idle seems to act strange, it sits there steadily, then for about a second jumps down and immediately back up to the normal idle rpm value... Also I noticed that when I open my doors the first thing in the morning, the dash seems to "pulsate" or "flash" like if there was a problem with the electricity somewhat. Anyone have an idea what is wrong with my Treg V6 gas? Many thanks!!!

I had a similar sounding problem with the yellow engine check light on permanently and the car not starting first time when not cold and not hot.

It was the coolant temperature sensor, fault code 19537, and replacement by my dealer was about US$400.

hey,

I ve got exactly the same with mine and its driving me crazy. at the garage they say that i have to start changing things and i dont like it as a solution. Have you managed to solve this issue. it would be great help if you could propose something. thank you in advance.

Like I said, mine was fixed as above.

As always the starting [no pun intended] is a VAGcom/VCDS print out of the fault codes so what codes have you got?

thanks for your quick response. the thing is that i have no fault codes and they convinced me to change both fuel pumps without any result. the closest thing i found on the web is a phenomenon called vapor lock but i cannot find any solution against it. any more ideas would help.

i checked again at the garage. this time the computer says that on one side of the cylinders there is poor fuel mixture. the fuel line is filling up right away on one side but takes longer to fill on the other side. so it takes longer to start the engine. does anybody think that there is a problem with the injectors on one side. it is only doing it when using lpg.
