sorry im new to this forum page and didnt realize it was going to be a thread. I bought a 2011 Touareg with the 3.0 TDI and it doesnt have a good motor in it and was trying to figure out if a motor out of a 2010 Touareg with a 3.0 would work or if there are major differences in them and wouldnt work with my ECU and such.
Nothing adds up... they should both be CATA codes if you are indeed in NaR as per your IP.
You stated that one was a NaR and the other a RoW market motor.... where are you getting the donor from?

If both engines are North American the 2010 and 2011 I BELIEVE are identical
I would be getting the engine used from Lkq they look identical but wasn’t sure if they would be a direct fit. I’ve been told one is cata and one is casa but again not afraid to admit I’m new to this stuff and don’t know the differences but trying to learn.
