Hi, i have a code p0841 on my 04 touareg tdi transmission. Can clear it and comes right back. Does anyone know where that sensor is located? Transmission runs fine so probably just needs a new sensor or something with the wiring for it. Says "transmission fluid pressure sensor switch A circuit range/performance" and on another code reader it said the value wasn't possible. Thank you!

So i got those sensors planning to go in check if something seems obviously wrong and if not just put in new sensors. I got in there to realize it doesn't have those sensors at all. It is a used transmission i put in it, and apparently it is different from what the car had. The valve body has the spots where they go, but the holes have a bottom and aren't threaded like they were and doesn't have the wires for the sensors. So it is made differently. The transmission has been running fine for several months, but i guess i'm in uncharted territory as far as how long this transmission will last. Do you have any thoughts? The company that sold it guaranteed it was the same. Live and learn! Can't blame them for what i should know and check.

Of course i will just run it till it goes out. Fortunately it is running great as of now. But if you have any thoughts as far as fundamentally how long you think it will hold up this way would appreciate it.

I guess this will end up being a good experiment then. Whenever it goes out i'll make a post to help the general knowledge. A code was different when i got it. I was concerned and called them. They "looked it up" and assured me it was still the same transmission and i believed them haha

It had an haq transmission in it and they sent me an hzx. When i asked them they said there were three different three letter codes that are for that car, and that was one of them so it is fine

I am still not sure if they are interchangeable when they are in the same row in the table, but I guess not because it says also:

The 09D transmission is used in a wide variety of
applications and engine sizes. As a result, the number
of friction plates and three or four pinion carriers, will
vary depending on torque load requirements of the
specific vehicle. The 09D transmission uses a gear
ratio sensitive system, requiring the correct
transmission interchange, if that becomes necessary.
