RNS850 Shows Wrong GPS Location

Out of the blue the NAV is showing the wrong location.

Tried searching but didn't come up with much other than possible water intrusion into the antenna. Had a look and it appears sealed tight.

Is there a reset procedure (VCDS or otherwise) that one can try before replacing the antenna (if that's the issue)?

That's the thread/post that made me ask here. Long shot but figured perhaps someone here had an answer.

Check your antenna…I had an audi with the same issue, replaced the antenna and fixed it…

Tried this twice, no luck.

So I'm in need of a new antenna?

Is there a way to verify that before shotgunning parts?

Since my last post I've:

cleared codes with VCDS
reset the NAV to factory settings, twice
used the green menu to confirm GPS is not reading any satellites
removed the glovebox and confirmed the GPS cable is plugged in firmly
purchased a known good OEM GPS antenna as a replacement, should arrive early next week

Please keep us informed once the known good antenna is installed. Quirky electrical issues have been known to drive a person to drink. Pun intended.
