Just wondering if the vids I’ve seen with some very impressive 4wd track conquered are indicative of most model Touaregs ??
New to VW thinking of buying a Touareg for our camper trailer and some light to medium 4wd

In most cases those impressive conquered terrains are for T1 + T2 Tregs. From T3 on they do have some offroad capabilities but they are mainly pavement princesses or mild trail-way queens. Unless any of the later models have a locking rear diff.
How would we know what you've seen? Do you know what vids I've seen?

So would the Treg I want would get me out of some mild 4wd situations or what do I look go in a model that would ?
You never said which one you want. They all can do mild offroading but capabilities increase if you put on all terrain tires, and if you have a model with more offroad features.
My advice is to not waste money on an offroad vehicle until you research and understand what features are actually needed for different conditions, and can answer this question yourself. Driving skill and proper tires are needed also.
But what about these secret videos?
