I'm not sure if this is relevant but I went to SupportCheap Auto to get a headlight bulb for my wife's 20013 VW Polo. They offered about three different bulbs each increasing in output. They were very helpful.

Did they increase in output or color temperature?

When I was replacing the bulbs on my T2 (xenon), I was contemplating between Philips and Osram (really the only two brands I would consider). In the end I went with Osram Night Breaker. I'm quite happy with the result. The change was unbelievable. See the result on my YouTube:

Looks really good!

Looks good. Any plans on upgrading the fog light bulbs to match?
Not at the moment. I've got a priority list I'm working through right now to get the Treg running well first. I'll deal with cosmetics later.

I don't blame ya'. Cosmetics take a back seat to functionality. Keep us updated.

So I finally got the Treg back from the mechanic, but currently it's running badly because of massive vacuum leaks from the brake booster vacuum hose, and some other hoses in that area. It's been difficult to find replacement parts, even from the dealership, so my mechanic has been looking around and seems that he's found the parts in Kuwait. He's going to get them sometime this week. Another issue I'm told is timing. The VVT actuator on the intake cam seems to be malfunctioning. One side affect of that is that sometimes when I try to start the engine it will just keep turning but won't start. After one, two, or sometimes three tries, it starts immediately. So, hopefully by next week the vacuum issue will be resolved. Then we'll see about the timing.

I know I'm supposed to get a VCDS scan but it's been really hectic since coming back from vacation and getting ready to go back to work and the kids back to school. But to be honest, with the current condition of the engine I feel VCDS will just come back and give me a look only SaVAGeSoot can survive 😬

Thanks for considering our company.
The D3S are going to be bright - they are brighter than the xenon that tend to lose brightness over time and take awhile to ignite. Our LEDs will stay the same brightness and have an instant ON.

We have seen a lot switch with great results:

Thanks
