The headlight washer is suddenly dumping all the washer fluid from reservoir through the outlets on both sides.
Does anyone know which piece is responsible for preventing the fluid from draining due to gravity?
I think it should be the pump because it is rare that both outlets have failed at the same time but I would like to be sure before having to remove the wheel arch and bumper.

I believe the whole system is responsible for keeping the fluid from draining due to gravity as it should be a closed system. If I recall correctly the pump is a bi-directional pump, pumps one direction for fluid to the front of the vehicle and the other direction for the rear window washer nozzle.

The headlight washer and windshield wiper systems have independent circuits.
In the pump (number 11), in the spray nozzles (numbers 1 and 2) or in lift cylinders (number 3) there should be some system that prevents the release of liquid when the pump does not send pressure.

I'll have to take it all apart and see what's wrong.

Hi Alferro, Do have any instruction on removing the Cover Cap(part number 4 on the diagram). I dont want to force anything and break it. I have the bumper off the car and need to refit the sprayer to a new bumper. Thanks in advance

Simply push the cover out slightly until you can grasp the spray nozzle (part number 2) with a screwdriver or pliers.
Then, just open the cover's tabs slightly. Once you see how it's held in place, you'll see how easy it is to remove.

If you have the bumper removed, you can push from the inside to avoid scratching the paint.
