can anyone help? I changed my transmission fluid filter and gasket in my 2009 Torg. Now I bought 8 L and it’s only taking about maybe six and it’s spilling out so I got in the car. I just ran through the gears put a little bit more transmission fluid in untill it leaked again I capped it, and I go to try starting it, and my battery seem to be dead. So I tried to charge it and it will not charge and it seems to be in limp mode. What am I doing wrong or what do I do now? Please help. I’m so frustrated right now.

Since you can't even spell what you have, I'd guess you faqed something up.... go back and unfaq it.....
What manual\procedure did you use as a guide to do this "maintenance" that has resulted in a bricked vehicle?

Are you checking the fluid level with the engine running? At 30*C?

Unfortunately, I was not able to make it to that point. Once I replaced the filter, gasket and put the transmission oil back in the pan, I went to flush it but could not do the flush. And yesterday when I was there before I left, I could not even lock the doors, because of the battery was dead. It would not take a charge, it would not do anything. I was unable to flush the lines. And everything went great with changing everything in the pan besides for a couple screws that broke and I couldn’t get out, so I left those. All I had left to do was do the flush and everything would’ve been complete. I just don’t know what could’ve gone wrong.

It was a video from YouTube that I followed, and all I did was change the oil in the pan, replaced the filter and gasket. A couple screws did break that I could not remove. I left those but everything sealed fine. I filled the transmission fluid up to where it started to run out. From there I could not get the car started to do the flush. I tried jumping it. I tried everything, but would not do anything. Now I was doing the flush for probably a couple days because I was just trying to get those screws out and had no luck. Now I can’t even lock the doors. When I put a charger on the terminals to jump under the hood, it does nothing. I believe it’s in some type of safety mode, but I don’t know what from. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance, because this is very frustrating and I tried to save a couple bucks and this is what I get.

T1 Touareg trannys are “lifetime” according to VW. Which means that you do not need to do any tranny maintenance. So why did you? What problems did your tranny have? Did you do a VCDS scan to discern any problems with your tranny? Broken bolts - use a tap to remove them and put new ones in.

How old is your battery? Obviously, you need a new one. VCDS Scan would have informed you of battery issues.

Lifetime in this case simply means "until warranty ends".

You do, it's called preventative maintenance, the same way you replace your engine oil before your engine fails.
Most of that stuff is just scams trying to upsell people.

Every time I go to the tire shop, they try to upsell me on rotating my tires. They rotate every time I drive!

I would suggest that we actually want one side going one direction, while the other is going in the opposite direction... that way we can ensure we are not going anywhere regardless of effort involved
Ok lifecrane

The fluid will eventually go out of spec and destroy the transmission early if you don't change it. Probably somewhere between 100-200k miles depending on how the vehicle is driven/used. Granted that is likely the "design lifetime" of the vehicle, but for those of us driving 10-20 year old Touaregs, they are already past the design lifetime, and most of us intend to keep them working reliably for a lot longer.

Jeebus has blessed my body with lifetime blood. Checkmate, fluid-changers.
