Adblue Issues again as expected- More adventures coming...

Well as expected my CEL popped back on and the adblue countdown is yelling at me.

The saga continues with the local dealer not being able to understand or repair the issue. So I have an appt at another dealer, a few miles farther from me that has fixed all my touaregs in the past. They seem to understand what the issue is so this time I hope for a reset adblue level correctly and replace adblue injector as it is clearly clogged and possibly cat if that is as well.

I drove 3K miles recently and had this issue in Grand Junction CO where the dealer cleared the countdown so I could make it home. I was just waiting for the CEL to pop up to return to the dealer. Prior to leaving on our trip I had the adblue filled up at the dealer. Took 200+ miles for it to come on again. I just filled 10L of fluid 3 days ago with FEBI/Bilstien Adblue -From sealed container with proper spec. So Quality should not be an issue here.

My car has been in and out of the dealer with no remedy to the issue yet.

Stop it already.

If you will recall I went in for this

They replaced the adblue heater element. Likely not the issue of course.
Drove 1,200 miles and got the adblue message that I had 1,000 miles to go.
I popped into VW in Littleton CO. Had them refill the tank for free.
Drove 243 miles to Grand junction and got the 200 mile countdown.
The dealer was nice enough to clear it so we could make it home. Dealer told me Adblue injector clogged etc... I did not have time to get a read out from them.

Drove 815 miles home. No issue. Likely added about 500+ miles to the vehicle since arriving home.

CEL came on with the codes I am sharing above.

Does that help?? Or am I not following instructions?

Do you or do you not have the death countdown on?
Or is it just the MIL\code that you're trying to deal with?
The FF data supports the possibility of the DEF being clogged up, but I'd simply suspect that the clowns didn't correctly reset the system after they serviced it.

What is it that you are asking? Or are you just telling us your struggle and not asking anything?

Yes I do.

I have the countdown as of today (10L of fluid added 2 days ago) and CEL as of 3-4 days ago. Both are present

I had similar issue and codes in my 2012 Touareg over the past month and the problem was resolved by cleaning the DEF injector and clearing the codes after that. So far the CEL and AB lights have stayed off.
🤞I did need and get help here as a newbie to VCDS, but the cleaning of the injector was a fairly straight forward DIY job and saved us several hundred dollars.

I wasn't there when they did what they did. As such, I don't know.
As per above, all those are possibilities.

So, if you want to deal with it yourself, first reset the death countdown.
Then reset the adaptation for the DEF injector.
Then, monitor that value to make sure it stays in range... if it does not, physically inspect the injector and potentially clean it, etc.

I do not want to go to dealer if I don't have to. So yes, I want to try to take care of it myself. I do not use VAG-COm often enough to remember how to do all these things I am asking if this is the correct procedure to reset the adblue:

Vag-Com VCDS AdBlue Reset Procedure:
1. Click 01 Engine --> 04 Basic settings
2. Select: Resetting of SCR Tank Level Detection
3. Click "Go", You will see "Finished Correctly | End System OK"
4. Click "Stop"
5. Click "Done Go Back"
6. Click 04 Basic settings
7. Select: Reset SCR Lock
8. Click "Go", You will see "Finished Correctly | End System OK"
9. Click "Stop"
10. Click "Done Go Back"

Now, I have only got about 2,500 miles since the dealer last cleared the countdown.

Please explain the procedure for the adaptation for the DEF

I will clean the injector if needed as well as any crystallization build up around the NOx Cat.

Does this sound reasonable to clear this up and any help would be great. I will search in the mean time for the procedure.
