Thanks in Advance for taking the time to read, but hopefully this will assist anyone hitting the same issue
We recently embarked on an 11,000km trip towing our van Half way around Australia
for the first 6000kms every thing went perfectly, great economy, no issues at all.
We finished Gibb River Road and back onto the black top and this is where the error started, DPF Pressure differential sensor Bank 1 (LH) error, fortunatly I have an OBDEleven full subscription and was able to clear and continue, then the next Error hit, P200200 Particulate Trap Bank 1 (LH) Efficency Below Threshold, this causes the car to go into Restricted performance mode, but again we were able to drive around it with the OBD tool.
This was not to bad the first day but then became worse, going from an occasional error to an error every three seconds, so we changed our trip and headed to Perth and purchased a replacement Sensor.
When I removed the sensor, the input from the DPF was snapped off, how or why, I have no idea, but it is what it is, I checked the part numbers to confirm the sensor was correct, made sure the hose feeding the sensor was not blocked and fitted the new Genuine Sensor.
It drove for about 10kms before the exact same error came up again, being out of time we put up this the error and headed for home back in Adelaide, on the way we used several DPF cleaners in the tank just in case, but the error persisted.
Once home, I removed the DPF's figuring these must have been the issue, I sent them to be cleaned, the guy cleaning them called me to ask if I have replaced them as they were the cleanest DPF's he has seen, aside from new ones, so, this was not the cause.
I then booked the car into an Auto Elec figuring that there must be a wiring issue, so today they have gone over all the wiring and can confirm there is no wiring issue, but still the error remains
The numbers on the Sensors bank 1 and 2 run exactly 200MV apart, 300mv up vs 500mv up, the Sensor 1 on bank 1 runs at Neg HPA the Bank 2 at Zero.
What Am i missing, the local VW dealer cant even do any thing as their mirror link is down for the third month in a row.
Can I adjust the values, do I need to calibrate the sensor?
Any help greatly apprciated
