Mine's in the ashtray/coin holder ahead of the shifter. Door closes, it's out of sight. Direct wired, great sound.
I just installed a Sirius receiver last week- take a look under the steering wheel column just above the pedals. Two screws, pull that cover down and there is plenty of room with a straight shot to the head unit. Couple of cable ties did the trick. Good luck
