I purchased this about a year and half ago with 77k miles. I was the first owner after it was recirculated into the market post diesel gate. It has performed flawlessly with a few minor issues that were repaired under the extended warranty, which is in effect until 120K or 2024. There was a minor exhaust leak that resulted in a new turbo compliments of VW of Albany and a new DEF sensor. I did all of the fluids at 90k, transmission, transfer case, rear diff. with the proper VW specified fluids. Oil & filter has been done every 9-10k with the proper VW 507 rated oil. I am a retired VW Audi Porsche technician so my cars are maintained meticulously. I am about to do the brakes as well with the original Pagid pads, the sensor light just came on. The car is in excellent condition, 9 out of 10 . I replaced the original 18" wheels with 19" to run winter tires, then I just replaced those with 18" wheels from a Porsche Cayenne, the tires should get you through the summer. Pirelli Scorpions.
I'm selling it to buy a Sprinter van to do a camper conversion so I can travel with my wife this summer. It's a perfect example in great condition and needs nothing. Ready to drive anywhere! Very fast, very comfortable, very reliable! More pics available upon request.

Let me get back to you... Just getting started in my search, was ideally looking for a bit newer/fewer miles but yours is definitely well kept and one I'd consider. Drove out to Ohio a couple weeks ago to look at a 2017 but that thing was beat. I'm located in PA about 4 hours away from you.

Jay, for a TDI of this year the miles are pretty low. The real determining factor for longevity is how well the vehicle was serviced, and I am meticulous about service, having been a car guy my whole life and working in the industry for so long.
This one won't disappoint you, it's in extremely nice condition. I will take some better pics for you and post them here in the next day or so. If you have any other questions or concerns just let me know. Thanks for looking!

Sounds good, appreciate that. I'll admit TDI is completely foreign to me, and that is part of my hesitation.. From what I've read here on the forum there's additional maintenance involved and really only worth if it you drive a lot?

Actually maintenance on a diesel is not much different than on a gas vehicle. In many ways it's less. No tune ups, no spark plugs. Oil changes are every 10k if you use the correct oil. I just did the major fluid changes at 90k and i'm about to change the engine oil and filter so you're good to go for a while. This is my first diesel and I love the way it drives, very fast, great for towing, lot's of torque, good MPG so it's economical too.

This is nice and exactly what I'm looking for...but oh so far. Drove a truck back from NY once before and it wasn't bad, but don't have the time to do it these days. Plus I would want to go up to ME, VT, NH and most places I want to go are still closed right now due to Covid. Booooo. But GLWS!

The 2012 has caught my eye and I’ve started looking out here (northern MN), and there is not a lot. I just turned to the hubby to see if I could take a quick flight to NY. 😄 It was a no. Someone will be very happy - Good luck!

Here's an idea I'll float. We can have a local independent VW shop give the Touareg a pre sale inspection to assure you there are no problems. I can also take some nice hi resolution photos of the entire car. If you are still interested, a deposit can be made, I will drive the VW to you in Denver, since I have some family there I've been wanting to visit, it will justify the trip. Once you see and drive the VW, a wire transfer can be made directly to my credit union and they can provide an immediate lein release so you will have a clear title. How's that for a plan?
