Extended warranty until 75k, Main dealer serviced through it life (wife's car) but I also did synthetic intermediate oil changes every 5k.
Car spent 3 years in MI until 2007 when we moved to MD.

Exterior: Awesome paint - probably the best finished car I have had - NEVER been in a brush/auto car wash as I always hand wash. No dents or scratches (there is a couple of door dings right side that you can see from one angle
Interior: Leather Surfaces (Beige)- I use Lexol to clean and condition all the interior surfaces so they are still in great condition no crack or rips - couple of indentations in rear from folding the seats,
Cargo Hauling : People and things, this car will swallow monster amount of luggage and DIY stuff - the Ski hatch is worthless though
Powertrain - Engine is running well, smooth idle - strong acceleration , same mpg since new (though 18mpg is not anything to be proud of...)
Air Compressor - love being able to inflate tires from integrated air compressor
Audio - This still sounds fantastic - well balanced system, decent bass / sub woofer - I added AUX In for direct connection to iPhone and also have a bluetooth dongle for connecting through radio
NVH - At its birth this was the premier VW vehicle and it shows - Road/PT/Wind Noise all greatly suppressed and it makes an awesome long distance cruising car
Tires: I have cycled through a lot of tires and the Nokian WR as just bloody fantastic - although a winter biased tire I found them awesome year round and tread wear/life and noise are all good - I am guessing they have around 40% life on them
Not so good
Peeling buttons (the soft touch managed to last about 12 years but is now starting to fail so some of the well used buttons (window and HVAC) are starting to peel / show wear
Missing Headlamp washer cover drivers side (I will likely replace once I track down a replacement and find paint to match)
Passenger Mirror Indicator Lens - cracked will need replacing
Front Pads Rotors likely need replacing this year
