T1 / Rain

Does it bother anyone else that, after rain, a lot of water gets into the trunk when opening the rear lid on a T1?

I would guess it only bothers those of you who have a T1 in a rainy climate.... but I seem to be OK with it.

Same on my T2, runs off the corners of the hatch splats on the bumper and then splats the the rear carpet. I've just gotten used to it...

Design error

It's a design feature.

You get used to opening the tailgate and standing back!

Even worse is the T5 Transporter van. When working out of the van I will often have the rear door open all day, if it rains the recess for the number plate fills with water and dumps about 2 litres on your head if you forget to stand to the side when you close the door. Caught me out a few times.
