Does anyone have any experience with either 285/50R20 or 305/50R20 tires?

I'm looking at options to replace my 275/45R20s. I know the Q7s have an optional 305/35R21 so I'm wondering how the 305/50R20s would be. Seems they are around 32.0 inches. While the 285/50R20s are 30.2.

Anyone ever run either of these sizes?

Also is it possible to adjust speedometer calibration to accomodate for a larger diameter tire?

I am running 285/50R20 with 20mm spacers on it. Wheel offset is 60mm. I first had 12mm spacers on it and I had absolutely no rubbing. But I wanted a wider stance, so I went to 15mm and then 20mm spacers.
I also ran 275/55/20, which is 31.9", with the same wheels. But at the time, I had 15mm spacers on and there was no rubbing at all. 275/55/20 fills the wheel gap really well.
My 285/50/20s are almost over and my next size would be 305/50/20 (32"). They are basically the same size as 275/55/20, but a little wider. No one has ever tried that size on here.

Whats your wheel offset?

I am running 275/45/20 with 30mm spacers on the front and 40mm spacers on the rear and wanted to get 295/40/20, now i am interested to see what yours looks like with your setup can you post a pic, thanks Vaughan.

It definitely sits and look wider, but I wanted a little more. because the offset is 60mm, even the 20mm spacers don't do much. 305/50/20 would be perfect.

Yeah mine sticks out about 10mm more at the front and more at the rear, the 10mm extra at the rear is in my opinion to much when i decide on the tires i will reduce it to 5mm

I have stock 20" wheels. I'm not a huge spacer fan as they reduce the life of wheel bearings.

I honestly don't know the offset of the stock wheels. I think I have Pike's Peak wheels. I know the Q7s run a 305/35R21 so I was curious if anyone has tried 305s on a T3. Maybe I'll just got with 285/50R20s the next time around. I don't really want more than an inch larger tire and have some specific things I'm looking for.

I was thinking about going with 285/50/20 when I need tires on my 16 as well. Wondered if VW would have any beef about it with my warranty? Kindof wanted a little bit softer ride over bumps thought that would help some.

Hello I'm currently running 275 50 20 on a gen1 with springs 40 mm spacers in back and 30 in front with a 10 jj 43 stock rims from a second gen Touareg my question is currently I only have a micro amount of rubbing when on full lock left or right can I put 285 50 20 on the car or is it impossible?

Also if not possible is it a problem if I run 275 50 20 in front and 285 50 20 in the back ?
