I have now purchased 5 x 19" Porsche Cayenne wheels to replace the 21s on our R Line.
I intend using the 4 TPMS sensors currently in the 21s but will need a 5th sensor so I can rotate the wheels and keep the TPMS system happy.
After much research and some phone calls I believe I have the correct part number for a 2017 Touareg.
Called two different dealers and was give two different numbers and prices -
5Q0907275B for the sensor @ $159.50 and 3AAA998275A for the valve assembly @ $29.70
5Q0998270B for the complete sensor @ $416
so I called VW Australia for clarification.
This is their response -
" I have reached out to our internal departments regarding your query, and would like to confirm that part number 5Q0998270B would likely be the correct part for you to purchase.
To clarify, part number 5Q0998270B is a set of 4 sensors, whereas 5Q0907275B is a single sensor. Both parts numbers are for the same sensor, the only difference is the number you would receive.
To order the relevant parts, please reach out to your preferred dealership and ask for either the set or single sensor as required, and they would be happy to assist further. "
