I am appealing for help to convince Forge Motorsport to manufacture a spacer lift kit for the first-gen Touaregs up to model year approx 2010. They have just released a kit for the 2011+ Touaregs, but it would be amazing if we could get something off the shelf for the earlier cars - particularly with the off-road focus of these cars. I'm focusing on model years as I know different regions call the T1 and T2 Touaregs different things.
I'm aware of the Siekel Kits ($$$), and also the custom aluminium spacer kits some forum users have fabricated but I have read mixed reviews on this forum. I don't want to disrespect what these guys have done as they have obviously put a lot of hard work in and some people have obviously had great results. Definitely respect also for just getting it done.
I have bought Forge parts for multiple tuned cars in the past and they have always been very good. I also like the fact that they have partnered with Powerflex who make really high quality bushings for performance and race cars. I have also had positive experiences in the past with Powerflex components.
I've emailed Forge asking for them to look at manufacturing something similar for the earlier models. I'm appealing to anyone else out there that has interest to email Forge as well to demonstrate that there is demand for this. It would be incredible to be able to cheaply and reliably raise these cars and put some larger AT tyres and take the capability to the next level!
